FIU alum, former Global Learning staffer interviewed on Cuba policy shift

FIU alumnus and former Global Learning staffer Andrew Gomez appeared recently on Public Radio International’s “To the Point,” discussing how younger Cuban Americans feel about President Obama’s move to reestablish full diplomatic relations with Cuba.

Gomez, soon graduating with a doctorate degree in history – focusing on Cuban-American history – from the University of California Los Angeles, spoke to host Warren Olney.

Citing an FIU poll, Gomez discussed how 18-29 year-old Cuban-Americans in Miami appear more supportive of restoring relations.
