GlobeMed, a student organization working to promote public health equity in Guatemala, was featured in a December 23rd article on FIU News. GlobeMed works closely with a partner organization in the country, Escuela de la Calle, to address the needs of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) via internships for FIU students. The internships are supported by the Public Health Institute’s Global Health Fellows Program II. The FIU chapter of GlobeMed is advised and supported by the Office of Global Learning Initiatives.
